Monday Music

Monday Music
πŸŽΆπŸ’ƒπŸ½πŸŽΆ
Oh yeah, heard the sounds of dance music calling my name this morning. Well of course, I had to have a cup of hot coffee first, but hey at least my back doesn’t hurt anymore, yay! Chipping away at the ice in the driveway …… darn shade …… the ice had been hanging on way too long. I noticed it still there this morning but at least I have a path for me and Riley. This ol’ girl gotta watch out. Heck even the young version of me would be ‘fall’ conscious.Β

You know those days when you wake up and say, ‘I am not who I use to be’. Yep one of those days, for sure. I look around and I know who I am surrounded by.

As I sit here and write down my thoughts, I am so lucky I get to look across the room at my precious Riley sitting in one of his favorite chairs staring out the window. I repeat to him, don’t worry honey, we know who we are surrounded by!

The sun is out again, the last of the ice and snow will be a distant memory by days end and we have nothing but love, joy and peace on our agenda. The music playing in the background and oh yes, I see Riley’s eyes closing. It’s a glorious morning and I am so thankful to witness it. And although Winter has not officially told us when she is leaving, her cousin Spring has already dropped a few hints, yippee!

I so look forward to the trimming of trees and shrubs. Oh my the colors of spring are all I can envision. Can you see it, yep I certainly can. Oh can you feel it, well not quite as much as I look at my fuzzy socks and flannel pjs, but soon dear one, soon!

Once upon a time, a little girl from Iowa landed in Texas. And she never looked back! I found myself, (ahem, more than once) in Texas. And it will happen over and over and over again. Faith like Daniel, Hope like Moses and you bet, heart like David.

I know that the aches and pains of getting older are real and yet I know without them, well definitely not ready for that day. There is an unlimited amount of strength and resolve that awakens me each day and brings joy to the house of the Lord, this house!

So even if there are a few aches and pains, I straighten out my crown, head high, shoulders back and remind myself just whose daughter I am.

Turn up the volume, let the music lead you, it’s
Monday Music!
