Wednesday Wisdom
This morning was particularly quiet on the patio.
Just before my cup of morning brew was finished, I watered my plants and gave them a little morning praise. They are bringing me lots of joy, (even in our current heat wave) and then I get to sit back and watch as the bees and birds make their appearance.
Quiet contemplation is so soothing.
And I always make time for a little reading.

It seems that with aging comes even more happiness. More time to re-focus on the now. It all sounds so ‘cliché’, I know. And yet, it’s so true.
We all know the passing of time is inevitable. And growing old gracefully means different things to different people. I believe there are both negative and positive aspects to aging and to youth. And I also believe that feeding my brain, mind and body holds the key to tapping into my own source of longevity.
It’s a concentrated effort, for sure.
Not sure who coined it but I agree, ‘do not deprive me of my age because I have deserved it’. It’s funny how many dream of living a long life and yet never want to get old.
I love this particular stage in my life.
Morning coffee on the patio, Riley by my side and letting the day unfold as it will …… priceless.
There are days when the music is non-stop and plenty of dancing is happening and then there are days when there is stillness and peace of a joyful life that engulfs me and can be quite overwhelming.
Ahhh, the presence of the Holy Spirit.

True joy comes in the quiet. I truly delight in my quiet time. It refines my soul and brings inspiration and music to my heart that only I can hear!
Of course we all need some socializing. It’s fun to hang out with friends and family no doubt.
And yet for me, solitude allows me to clear my head of the noises of influence and thoughts of others, and the world, to focus on my reflections and values.
We all find different ways of solitude.
Mine brings me a sense of fulfillment and freedom that is beyond words.
