Top of the morning, Tuesday!  

What a great weekend it was for us to bring in the new year. Warmer than usual temps, amazing fireworks to watch on TV and of course some great football; bowl games and NFL.
I had a slight hangover …… from football …… and no not from the champagne, lol. The champagne this year was mighty good with a smidge leftover for morning mimosa, Boom!  
And now it’s our first Top of the morning, Tuesday of the new year! 
When shorts and flip flops return as our daily outfit of the day (for a few days, anyhow) there are no complaints here. Plus, way to much to be ‘thankful’ for.
It’s 2023!  
I made a southern New Year’s day dinner at home. It’s been a while since I  decided to make it at home vs going out and I must say, it was delicious. But then again, I do love my own cooking, HA!  
So anywho, whether our temps stay mild or get a smidge colder, these next couple of month have always been some of my favorites. (Yeah, I do say that about each month, wink wink).
But there is something about watching the seasons embrace a new birth.
And yes, this is when I usually get spring fever and start thinking about spring and summer plants way too early. But I have actually learned to admire them on-line only and not do any ‘too early’ planting. O’ to get old’er and wiser!  
And also because these next few months are perfect cuddle months.
TBT, since Riley got his new bed, he cuddles less (with me), but that doesn’t stop me from picking him up and planting him on my lap. He still loves tummy rubs!  
2023 
Wow it will be a powerful year! 
 His work is not done. His symphony of love continues playing in my heart and his spirit fills me with peace.
