Christmas in July!
No, I haven’t started decorating or shopping for Christmas but when you wake up to temps in the 60’s in late July (this is Texas), well it most certainly feels like we have been given a gift!
Yesterday brought our walking shoes back out and that was such a treat. This morning we might need a light jacket for our walk, teehee!
Hey, I will sing and dance about it for a couple days because our cousin known as ‘triple digits’ will be back tomorrow, but for now, coffee on the patio and star gazing time has returned.
We likey!
I love the feel of Sundays.
Especially when my sister is making me breakfast. She is the pancake queen after all. Riley doesn’t know it yet, but a car ride is in his near future!
Oh the gifts just keep coming, just like ……
Christmas in July!
When I think about the gift of life, I get goosebumps.
Being in my 60’s is full of surprises for sure. And yet, I know that I am a much gentler, vulnerable and stronger person in many ways.
And yes, I dream about being in my 90’s in the same way. Getting older doesn’t stop you from having dreams and hope.
If anything, my vision is much clearer.
I may not jog on my path, I prefer walking but I still lace up my sneakers and move towards the person I want to be ……
Grateful for the joys of everyday life. The best Scottie mom, ever. Love for my family and friends. Peace in my heart and home. Eating healthy with a smidge of ‘delicacy’ (I am an ice cream girl). Living the life of my authentic self. Being in my element.
Hey we all know, life is precious. Someone or something is not the key to happiness. You (me), we are the key to our happiness.
I have always been serious with a side of weirdness. And I work on it, so I never lose it!
So even though I may not jog around the neighborhood, I hope that it is apparent that my walks are full of joy, peace, passion and love.
Because no matter where I am, I rejoice for another day.
Namasté.
Dear God, May I continue to treat each day as a treat and a fresh start to become closer to you. I know that each day I have, is an opportunity granted by you to become the person I want to be. May I never take it for granted. Amen.
