Wide-Open Wednesday!
The beauty of retirement is that I can decide how I want to spend my Wednesdays.
Hip Hip Hurray!
And since the weather in the mornings are pretty darn nice I enjoy taking Riley for our morning walk.
My mind is wide-open.
And you know for many of us, our minds can get quite loud sometimes. I can be restless, critical and driven that can be exhausting for some. And yet, maybe because of retirement or my age, it’s one of the things I have come to honor and respect.
Our minds are truly extraordinary.
It’s creative, provides imagination, it’s driven and it’s full of wonder.
And it also can be heavily influenced with negativity.
Which is why it’s so important to not let the violence, hatred, pessimism and darkness of others take up residency in our minds or our hearts.
It’s almost August and here that means a hot (like in very hot) and dry month is right around the corner. Which is why I am so grateful that our temps allow our early morning walks to continue for now! And today we met a fellow walker from our neighborhood, Bonus!
Today wasn’t planned out.
But I got to enjoy some morning coffee and yummy breakfast. Take a walk and let peace and joy fill my mind and heart.
Wide-Open Wednesday!
Prayer time, music playing, a little dance party, journaling, and of course checking out some new recipes to try …… oh my mind is staying quite busy!
Namasté.
Dear God, Thank you for another glorious day. My time with You provides me the strength of mind and heart to stomp out the noise and negativity moving me forward and beyond. Amen.
