‘kairos’ Saturday

‘kairos’ Saturday
TBT
Every day is full of joy and peacefulness and moments of God’s grace, mercy and love. But when the weekend rolls around and there are no errands to be run or work around the house that must be done …… well that is definitely a ‘kairos’ Saturday unfolding.
Up early with my bestie; Eddie, and then watching the sprinklers out back as they lay a nice wet glitter upon everything – heaven on earth!
Everyone has their own perspective and meaning of luxury. And let me tell you, for me, living in retirement has been a true blessing. My many luxuries:
Slow mornings.
Freedom to choose.
A good nights sleep.
Peace of mind.
Calm and ‘boring’ days.
Being present.
Loving people.
People loving you.
Oh the list could go on and on and on!
It definitely changes as life goes on and my experiences are different.
I believe I have been blessed to be old ‘er’ and wiser because God protected me when I was young and stupid. My prayers have never (and never will) cease.
You know that feeling when you feel so much better because you are stepping into a new era of  yourself!

I know He will never let me go!

We must pay attention to who we are when we feel our best!

Life is tough enough. Tragedies happen.
I know that there is a paradox inside every emotion. I breathe in the beauty of today as the sun goes in out of the clouds. Soon our days will be cloudless and the ‘real’ summer days will be here. Some say this July has been a ‘fake’ July for us,  but I say, these days have been a blessing, for sure.
But no matter what, we get to stand and breathe in the beauty each day. Which makes me even more grateful because the time we get to spend here is precious.
After a loss, I believe joy is felt even more keenly. Not denying the loss yet allowing it to shape me and provide the kind of story I want to live and tell. A chapter of ending to a chapter of beginning.
Heaven on Earth!
‘kairos’ Saturday!
