Let’s Winter!

Let’s Winter!
Sometimes Winter is like withdrawing from the universe and vanishing from sight. Well we could take a hint from nature and many animals. Not all may go into hibernation yet they prepare and adapt.
A couple more days of warm days before our first real shot of Winter arrives. With some help, no precipitation is in store, thank fully, unless it is very slight, and none is preferred!

Winter brings on the tranquil and calm that is so much needed.
And yes many mornings I spend inside our warm cozy home, sipping fresh brewed coffee with soft music putting Eddie to sleep, and seeing winter as a childhood fantasy.
But the truth is that I feel so grateful to witness another Winter.
We get to experience the hibernation, migration and the leaves falling of this special season.
If everything acted like Spring and Summer …… well let’s not go there.
Winter takes on its own beauty. Sparse trees, windy cold hours and plenty of things to do to get your house in order and ready for our next season.
My slow cooker definitely gets used. Baking and cooking yummy meals that are so much more enjoyable during the winters are a must.
And of course, lots of time to reflect and recharge.

Well you won’t find me curled up under our blankie everyday all day …… because Eddie and I have an active week coming up, so we might just be doing a little ‘over’ Wintering this weekend! Well maybe on Sunday, for sure.

We can’t choose to skip Winter, we can choose how we act to it.
Of course I might need a little reminder of that next week when our walks will be under some very cold days and nights.
Oh, but to step back inside and feel the warmth that will quickly return us back to our Namasté nest. The ying and yang of life!
Plants and animals don’t fight Winter, they adapt.

The past few months has shown me just how important lifestyle choices are for me and my sweet Eddie. I feel as if we have been in our new home for more than just a few weeks. I will celebrate my accomplishments and I thank God every single day for giving me the strength, encouragement and confidence to make my life better and more fulfilling than ever before.
Winter will not cause me to vanish, it’s where my transformation starts!
It’s decisions that are based through my faith and my love for life.
It’s when lessons are taught and my openness to learning from them is even more than I have imagined. There is so much wisdom to be gained.
(Know who and what matters)
Because sometimes the rushing around of life removes the quiet pleasures that I have now invited back!
Candles burn every night and I am telling my story if only to myself and for myself.
Ahhhhh Winter!
Namasté.
