So, what is peace?
Peace is a supernatural gift given by God.
I won’t go into all the verses in the Bible about His gift, although I believe that this type of peace does not come from within us naturally or from anything else in the world, other than the Lord.
I woke up this morning almost forgetting where I was. I definitely woke up forgetting what day it is, and you know how much Sunday is one of my favorite days!
After our first walk this morning without anyone else around, my little boy had his breakfast and I had my first cup of coffee. And as usual, soft jazz was playing and although it had rained a little before we woke up and I know it will remain cloudy all day, our blinds and drapes are open and it is a gorgeous morning.

I can’t conjure up the feeling of peace or pray for it (like faith), but it has taken up residency in my heart and soul. Because, I seek God’s face and that is where I find His gift of peace. His presence and love.
He makes this available to me and you through the Holy Sprit.
And, in that peace, is not the presence of good feelings, it also is not the absence of feelings.
We will all go through unsure footings and wounds of living life. So I am not walking around in some catatonic state or feeling nothing at all. It’s not a free ticket of avoidance.
And yet, the world and our very nature wants to tell us how to feel. How to react to circumstances and situations.
But I know that God offers a supernatural peace.
It’s not joy, happiness or even contentment …… it’s peace.
And it is almost impossible to explain. When it overcomes you – you know!
Today is Sunday, one of my favorite days.
Seek His face and love and you will know the gift of God’s supernatural peace.
