Oh my, Winter

Oh my, Winter.
Even in the deepest of Winter, the robins are out singing. Oh they know that soon (not soon enough), warmer temps will be here. I keep thinking that too!
But of course, I am not wanting life to move too fast, all in time my sweet Eddie. This morning was definitely a test of wills. I mean when you try to breathe in the fresh air and the coldness of it feels like it’s tearing up your throat …… definitely a short walk for us.
Not another soul out with us this morning for our first walk but soon we are back inside.

And I believe winter provides a time for wellbeing.
So yeah, doing fun things inside. Like I get to catch up on reading. I have bought some new books, plus, I always like to go back and reread some older ones too. But then, I am an all
year-round reader!
Come springtime, I will sit outside and read. Sometimes music in the background, sometimes just the natural sounds of the birds but mostly just sipping on some coffee or iced tea and taking in the calming atmosphere that reading provides.
Soon Soon!

I can’t wait to experience it all with Eddie.  And as we continue our Wintering, tonight is probably the last nite to drip the faucets. Yep, it’s a Texas thing we must do. But, hey, at least we did not get snow like Houston. They can have it.
Winter is definitely not over but if we get through it without any more precipitation …… well, no complaints from me!
So as we settle in after breakfast and see the sun shining on this frigid January day, we will remain grateful and full of thanks.
Thank you, my Lord.

Namasté.
