A Cup of Coffee with Him

What could be better than morning coffee with God.

I don’t read the bible or say my prayers for any reason than to light the fire in my soul.

And if you are wondering how in the heck you can make time to sit quietly for even 5 minutes without interruptions …… trust me, it is a process.

But one you will never regret ……

you just gotta start!

Getting up 15 minutes early to spend time with God.

I am embarrassed that for many years I always had some type of excuse why I could not/would not spend time quietly with God.

I have since asked for forgiveness for my selfishness.

Yep, we all have busy and sometimes crazy things happening, its life!

And there are days when nothing goes according to plan ……

maybe that is just a little nudge ……

At least for me it was.

Reminding me that God can do more in seconds than I can do in a lifetime.

There are so many ways we can welcome God into our lives ……

I have learned through experience, find what works for you.

Maybe it’s a scripture or quote that resonance with you. Place it on the wall or table  so that you see it every morning; even before you get out of bed or while brushing your teeth, or even gulping down your morning juice.

Give thanks to God for another day.

Throughout my life, I have put my trust in people, then in myself, and now I know that I can put my trust in God.

Are there bumps along the way …… well sometimes it feels like mountains.

I see the wisdom and knowledge that they bring now.

Those who trust in the Lord are as secure as Mount Zion; they will not be defeated but will endure forever. (Psalm 125:1)

I trust in God not because it is a guarantee that my life will be easier. I trust in Him, knowing that I am not alone. This gives me joy and strength.

May all that I am praise the Lord; may I never forget all the good things he does for me. (Psalms 103:2)

Will life continue to have bumps ……

Ah, yeah ……

I just put on the right pair of shoes, booyah!

His kindness and loyalty are written deep in my heart. (Proverbs 3:3)

Now how do you take your coffee, iced or hot hot hot, either way invite God. He wants to hear from us.

Riley and I send you love love love, with a little morning brew!

Namasté

Co-Pilot,
Riley the Scottie
