Shout-out Saturday!

Shout-out Saturday!

My oh My …… one of the best days and it’s not over yet.
It all started last nite with a ‘cool’ down and for us in Texas …… well, we call it a blessing!
Waking up to a chilly morning (yes, it’s July) and with temps of 68ish –  I am definitely counting the blessings.
I could actually hose down my plants this morning and not feel as if I needed another shower. But no, I am not complaining. Texas summers are HOT and thats just the way it is.
I remember living in LA and the almost perfect summer days and cool nites that were pretty incredible.
But what is it about Texas ……
It’s HOME!
🏡 💚 🏡
If I had a free fall in a parachute, I would land right where I am!
The heartbeat, the bright stars of Texas and I have a special bond.
Of course having family nearby makes it all better!
Riley and Eddie are both Texas born.
And although I am a transplant, I have lived here longer than anywhere else, it stuck!

After a few morning errands and plenty of play time we hung outside this afternoon in the back yard and it still doesn’t feel like July in Texas.
We likey!
Sun tea is brewing, lemons growing on my tree and the flowers are still happy.
And even though the AC is running, I have to believe it is pretty happy for this reprieve too.
Normally I am switching between iced tea and water but this afternoon a cup of hot coffee was on the agenda.
But first a couple of dances with Eddie. He doesn’t want to stay up for an entire song, so he gets a break in between. Wouldn’t you know it, the boy is still so light and of course once he gets use to dancing (and be a chunky monkey) I will be the one that needs a break in between songs!
Some days I get lost in thoughts.
And giving thanks for all that is.
It’s like the light has been left on for me!
Grace has definitely found me.

I see the sparkles in Eddie’s eyes. I feel the joy in my sister’s voices. I feel the fire that is lit inside of me.
My soul has most definitely been rescued.
It’s Shout-out Saturday!
