Sunday Delights

And just like the signs of a new season appearing outside …… the new season inside of me is blooming with delight.
And most days, it’s like I am bouncing off the walls with delight!
I am still a work in progress because some days I take my eyes off of Him and the noise is always trying to seep in.
So what’s a girl do …… spend time with Jesus and pray. And not just on Sundays.
Because I know where the true source of my delight comes from.

And His delight is there for all of us.
Sometimes we just make it hard and complicated, I’m guilty of it too.
And then I draw near to Him in my own way:
Reading my Bible and designating prayer time every day.
Seeing the sunrise while enjoying a cup of hot coffee with Riley nearby.
Seeing the red cardinals reappear in the tree in our backyard while the blooms of the season are popping up (achew🤧).
Watering my lemon tree as I whisper to her, well done!

All I have to do is look around, His delights are all around me, always always.
And sometimes I struggle to take a breath because of the awe of God.
The morning sun welcomes me, the evening stars bid me a goodnight.
And yeah my list gets longer of all the things He has done for me as I give Him thanks.
His unwavering love and gift of the Holy Spirit is here for me …… and you!
And if that doesn’t get you bouncing off the walls …… check your heart.
Each day I am filled with anticipation of spending quiet time with Jesus and reading scripture, because I know that He is the source of all my delight.
And I believe He knows the desire of my heart and my devotion to Him. I know He is with me in this quiet space providing comfort and safety.
Yes, Sundays are special but everyday my faith gets stronger as I spend time with Jesus.

Dear God, Thank you for another day of your presence filled with joy and peace. Guard my heart and mind with your perfect peace today and every day as I walk on this path of life with you. Amen.
