January – Lets get Started!
What a glorious morning. The rain has moved out and the sun reappears before our eyes! This month started so joyful and I hope it continues.
Our morning walk in the sunshine was wonderful.
And there is something about getting all signs of Holiday decor put away. A clean slate!
Now lets see when the neighborhood take down all of theirs.
Now don’t get the wrong idea, I am no minimalist, Ha!
January for me is like a rebirth.
I have inside projects already in the works.
I spend a lot of time reading and so I have revamped my reading corner in our living room and also in our den/zen room. Oh the joy it brings!
I already have a special corner in our bedroom just for reading ……
see I told you I love to read. Even more than watching TV.
Although, this past fall to the present, there have been many shows I have been enjoying. And of course football is still going strong so my TV does get used, somewhat!
One of my dear friends and I love to chat about the shows we watch and many times we are texting during the show, it’s pretty fun and a release. Oh I know many will say that watching too much TV will give you brain-melt (it’s a thing) but rest assured I rarely watch TV during the daytime. But then again on a chilly cold rainy day I might alternate more to TV than music, guess it just depends.
I am definitely more of music person for sure. Like this month when I have mini projects to complete inside, music is the best accompaniment.
I think Riley likes it too.
I alternate between different types of music and of course I always save at least one dance with him!
I know it pretty ‘cliche’ to refresh your home in January but it so true that it offers up a whole new perspective on …… Everything!
It’s a long month, no need to rush into it.
I pick a certain item I want to work on and take days off to evaluate and adjust.
Hey, it’s what floats my boat, for sure!
Our home is my special place and we spend a lot of time in it, so I believe in giving it the love, attention and respect it so deserves.
And as my friend reminded me this week, Spring will be here in a few months, yippee! Then the love gets transferred to yard and patio time. Our weather so far has been pretty fantastic this winter so we have spent more time outdoors than normal which has been a treat.
But I am not rushing it.
Winter is still here and I want to enjoy every day of it.
Lots to do and lots of time to stay comfy and cozy inside too.
Heaven is on earth!
