Back In Time Night!!

December

Good morning y’all!

Last night was one of the best nights ever! I stepped back in time and had a blast.

I was looking at old pictures …… some of them were very very old.  And what a ‘hoot’ it was. If you have read any of my posts then you know that my dear sweet mother is no longer here in the physical sense (always here in my heart and soul) along with my father and oldest sister.

But you know what …… they were actually here last night. As I looked at old family photos I laughed so hard that I think Riley must have been thinking, again,  ….. what is wrong with her ……Ha!

OMG …… I have pictures of me and my sisters all dressed up for the first day of school. Pictures of my sisters and my father in the house we all grew up in. Pictures of us at Christmas, opening presents. Oh yes, pictures of me at my first communion ceremony ….. yes,  I grew up in a Catholic family.

I have pictures of my mother walking on the beach in her cute little one piece and she is actually showing some cleavage …… wow …… go mom!!

I have pictures of us in some crazy looking Halloween costumes, pictures of me through-out my grade school, junior and high school years. I had long hair, short hair, wore glasses, didn’t wear glasses, full make up, sometimes no make up ……

I called one of my sisters last night and we shared some laughs about these old family pics!

I have pictures of the different towns that I have been lucky enough to call home, Davenport, Iowa, Orlando, Florida, Carrollton, Texas, Westlake Village, California, Argyle, Texas.

All of these pictures capture a special time in my life. And more importantly all the special people in my life. Family, friends, love ones …… all of them. Some are still in my life ….. all will always be in my heart and soul.

So I made a promise to myself last night …….

That I will not let these pictures just sit tucked away in a box gathering dust …… Instead, I will have more “Back In Time’ nights!

I will forever cherish my past memories and I look forward to all the new ones yet to come. Life is not always easy …… but it is always an adventure. I always see the positive in people and in life.

It’s like everyday the big bright sun is always shining and warming my soul …… and on those days when sun is not out and shining  ….. then, I just create my own!☀️

So plan your own ‘Back In Time” night. Feel how it warms your soul. Throw love and kindness out to your family and friends.

And while your at it, make a cup of hot cocoa,  sit back and laugh at some of those crazy and ridiculous pictures and never ever stop creating your own sunshine!

Riley and I send you love and kindness with sprinkles!

We’d love to hear from y’all, Woof Woof. ??
