Christmas Eve, December 24th.
Twas the night & day before Christmas!
Oh my, can you believe it.
One of the best sayings I love about this day:
‘May you never be too grown up to search the skies on Christmas Eve’.
As the excitement and momentum continues, this day and nite remains a favorite of mine.
Here in Texas we will be wrapping up the rain this afternoon and let it jingle all the way out of here!
Oh yeah, we will be outside tonight. One must leave some reindeer food out for Rudolph and his team, of course!
And my Santa cookies and milk will be ready.
After our sister’s annual Christmas dinner out last night, there are some leftovers waiting for me today. I did take a couple bites of my special cheesecake but a couple bites was all I could handle. I need to pace myself in anticipation for tomorrow!
Today there is a lot of football to watch and of course The Cowboys game will no doubt have me pacing. Another tough game and let’s hope our A-team shows up!
Go Cowboys!

Christmas Eve is spent doing various traditions.
Since our weather will be perfect for a late nite stroll, I look forward to taking Riley as he jingles up and down the streets as we look at all the Christmas lights.
Many spend this day going Christmas caroling, baking, playing games, building a snowgirl, watching holiday movies, attending church service, drinking hot cocoa, oh the list goes on and on and on! Of course reading the Night before Christmas story by the fire remains a favorite of mine. Some of you may need to do some last minute shopping. And if you are running on coffee Christmas cheer, take your time, slow down and of course be safe out there and always always be kind.
I know how blessed I am to be snuggled inside this Christmas Eve with Riley as we continue our traditions and enjoy all the activities of this truly magical day!
Happy Christmas Eve, from me and Riley.
And always always:
