It’s a rainy day …..

but oh,

How we love rainy days. Is it bad that we decide to chill out …… all day long. Watch a few movies and spend time enjoying our Christmas tree and lights. The smell of the holidays is definitely in the air. Enjoy a little hot chocolate with some chocolate peppermint bark, it’s sinfully yummy and I can’t ……. more like won’t stop at one piece …… but thankfully it only comes around in December! Yep I believe a nap is in my near future with lots of cuddle time. 🐾🐾

Of course Riley has gotten a head start! After all, he did get a little wash and fluff this morning, you know …… chasing squirrels in the rain …… well, it’s exhausting and let’s just say …… a wash and fluff was in order!

On this Saturday in December, I give thanks to God because my light is shining bright. Yep, the clouds are overhead, the rain is a constant but inside I am warm and toasty. Okay maybe the hot chocolate helped a wee bit, haha; but I know who warms my heart, always.

Life is so powerful. So much to be grateful in 2018 and, although it’s not over yet, a new year is very close. It reminds me of all of God’s blessings this year; my faith continues to grow and experience God’s presence, my forever home is full of love and hope, my good health endures and reminds me to keep moving, (feeling stronger every day), my desire to eat healthy yet enjoy life’s pleasures (like hot chocolate and peppermint bark), my sweet sister moving to Texas to be with me and Riley, booyah, but most of all, the undenying belief that God is with me and the Holy Spirit will lead me. 

Yes, life is so powerful. Oh I know there will be times when the trials of life will test my faith.  Yet I believe my Joy comes from knowing His presence. And this my dear friends, increases my Joy.

So as the rain keeps falling on this December Saturday, I hope you are filled with love, peace and joy. And maybe a little nap time as well!
