Fa LaLa, LaLaLaLa Friday!
You know when you wake up and have a ‘A Ha’ moment. Self fulfilling prophecy, intuition, call it what you may but our garden-type rain is upon us and it is wonderful.
Riley was a little slow to go out in it, first thing this morning but, he is a trooper!
And me, well I get to watch and hear it all from inside comfy and cozy.
It’s one of those days when I say, do I change clothes …… nah, my nitey is long soft and so comfy and other than stepping outside onto the patio once in a while, I’m good!
After a nice breakfast, I was already thinking about dinner. (Food takes up an exorbitant amount of space in my brain, always has) Ha!
But seriously, this would be a perfect day to make my homemade chicken pot pie. Can’t wait. Instead of mini pies, I am planning on using my pie dish. So of course lunch was light; a plate of veggies with cubed cheese.
And as I settle in with my afternoon coffee, (I will forgo my usual afternoon treat with my coffee for today) 😉 and Riley settles in for his 2nd siesta of the day, the music is filling our home as the rain is starting to subside.
Couldn’t have asked for a better rainy day. The sun will be back tomorrow, yippee.
The Christmas trees are glowing today since it’s so cloudy outside. The reason why I decorate for Christmas before Thanksgiving is that although Thanksgiving day remains special, it’s a day, Christmas is a season and I want to enjoy as much of it as I can.
Anticipating New Year’s Eve and starting a new year will then begin after Christmas is over, so to me the Christmas season is short enough.

Christmas is the beautiful reality of Jesus: Lord, Savior, King, Best Friend and Love of my Life. He is what connects me to the holidays.

This is a very busy season and even more for some, so it’s easy to let Jesus fade into the background of baking, shopping, wrapping and the fun activities we often get to enjoy this time of year. So, it’s important to remain intentional about worship and prayers during this glorious season of Christmas.
Of course, the season is full of snow and vacation time. Lights, Christmas trees, chocolate and jingle bells. And these are not bad things, but there is something greater and far more precious than all of these things combined.
Christmas is about God’s great love for me (you). As a Christian(s), I (we) celebrate God’s love for the world through the birth of His Son. God brought us a Savior. I was lost and God found me. I was far from God and God brought me near through the death, burial and resurrection of His perfect Son.
So, Christmas is a time to celebrate Jesus. He died and rose again so that I (you) could live. So let’s reflect on Him and His goodness.

Namasté.
I don’t want much for Christmas. I just want the person who is reading this to be healthy happy and loved.
