Good Tidings Tuesday

Good Tidings Tuesday
❤️💚
There is something about waking up on a cold cloudy winter day. Winter reminds me to take the time to stop and rest. This year it’s needed even more than ever. As I peep outside, I see the garden at rest. I see the grey skies signaling a rest.
As we take our morning walk, I see the red berries on the shrubs, the leaves finally turning brown and falling, I feel the cold air filling up my lungs and then we are back home and the fire warms us up as it gives us a blast of hope and reminds me to be thankful.

Just as God planted the heavenly seed (His word) here on earth, I have planted His word in my heart. I understand the reason for the seasons, tending to my garden and the power of harvest. And of course yielding to winter; letting it all rest.
I know many may be saying, how can I be merry this Christmas season;  as the pandemic that came barreling down and brought so much death and destruction to our lives. Well for me, I know that satan is just waiting …… when we are the most vulnerable. I refuse to give in.
Of course I will miss attending Christmas church service in person this year,  but I get to be a part of it on-line. Yes, I will miss buying the normal gifts for love ones to open this year, but I get to be with a few this year (our little bubble), enjoy a hearty meal and feel the love between us.
Winter reminds me to allow everything to rest. Let peace, love and joy fill our home as we promise to be kind to ourselves and let the merry of Christmas remain with us this season.
It’s Good Tidings Tuesday.

Blessings from our home to yours.
