Home Love, January

Home Love, January 2023

It’s one of the most coziest months. And if you are blessed to live in Texas, yep a record month, for sure. Cool mornings and evenings with warm afternoons, beyond words!
So as I was working on my tan yesterday out on the patio, Riley was snoring out in the yard keeping a watchful eye and inching toward the shade as the day got warmer, HA!
So yeah the Holiday lights are all put away and for the next couple of months, the sweetness of candlelight each evening will be on overdrive.

As you know, I am a big football fangirl. I can’t wait for the college national championship and the playoffs for the NFL. And yet, this week’s horrible accident to Buffalo Bills, Damar Hamlin that postponed/canceled the game was an emotional night for those watching. It shook me to my core. (And if you watch it and had no reaction, check your pulse) Better yet, check your heart and desensitize soul.
A dear friend of mine and I were on the phone during the entire event. Yep, in tears. Oh we both love the game and always will. And no doubt, football will continue and guys who love the sport will continue to play and we the fans will continue to watch and root for our favorite teams, but I believe and hope that the aftershocks will remain with us for a very long time.
As of this writing, Damar is making improvements and that is something to bow our heads for. I will continue to pray for this very young football player in a Cincinnati hospital fighting for his life.
