Hi y’all. Heck yeah, it’s Monday & National Pet Day! ❤️

So today is a day to remember your pet and do something special for them. Pets of all types bring so much happiness and joy to our lives.

Pets have a way of filling your heart without even trying.

Pets are living beings, just look into their eyes and feel their soul.

Pets – The best things in life are rescued.

One of my best friends said the best thing about waking up in the morning is having her little cat on her head …. She actually has a hard time going to sleep without the purr of her little cutie next to her!

Now as you know, my little co-pilot, Riley the Scottie loves to wake me up usually by putting his little wet nose on my arm or by just sitting there staring at me until I open my eyes ….. nothing sweeter than staring back at his brown puppy dog eyes filled with sparkles!

Oh yeah, first they steal your heart, then they steal the sofa and of course the bed too! ❤️

When I was a little girl, I had a pet guinea pig. He was a cute chubby little thing and everyday I played with him for hours. We also had lots of different dogs while I was growing up,  small and large. They were always part of our family. ❤️

My mother loved birds. She had this beautiful canary. She would talk to him every day and often sing along with him. Of course as little kids we often thought, please mom ….. make him be quiet ….. it seemed as if he always knew when we were watching our favorite movie because he would start to sing and sing and sing. But I have to admit that he hit the sweetest notes. And to this day, I just love the sounds of birds ……  especially early in the morning ….. thank you mom! ❤️

One of my childhood friends had a pet bunny rabbit. I will never forget spending hours playing with him in the back yard. Of course even though he had the biggest ears, he didn’t always listen to us ….. Ha!  Hey, did you know that you can put a frozen water bottle in their cage when the summer heat arrives, they love to lean against it, yeah it’s hot for them too.

Of course the loss of a pet is never easy. Best friends come in all breeds. They are never forgotten and their footprints will forever be in our hearts. Our hearts remember most what it has loved best.  All pets go to heaven ….. it wouldn’t be heaven without them. ❤️

So yeah, its National Pet Day ……..
