Monday Morning Love

Good morning y’all,

Oh my goodness, it’s almost Thursday!

This week is so special, Thanksgiving Day, food, football and plenty of love to go around!

Now if you know anything about me, then you know that I live my life everyday full of gratefulness and love to God for all my blessings, however, this week brings me so much closer to him …… if that is possible.

I love that Thanksgiving Day will be full of food, football and family love. My first Thanksgiving in our for-ever home and I can tell you that Riley is just as excited as I am. Oh I may have a little less giddy up in my step these past few days …… (oh yeah, I take the lemon tree out and I bring the lemon tree in) and I shake it all about, except my back on this ol’ girl decided to test me with a pinched nerve …… well nothing stopping me!

My beautiful lemon tree, which was a gift and a blessing survived our summer heat wave with temps over 106, so I am not about to let a few chilly nites damage her beautiful gifts. Nice big beautiful lemons, just about ready to be picked for Thanksgiving Day!

So I take the lemon tree out and I bring the lemon tree in and I started to skip the ‘shake it all about’ part, teehee. She is a gift of beauty and a blessing, for sure.

I hope you start your day full of gratitude, optimism, love and hope. Of course I take a moment to reflect on what is going on in our beautiful country. And that makes my daily practice of gratitude, optimism, love and hope important to me.

It also provides me the strength to reflect on my own smaller world, the one that is deep within me.

On this Monday leading to Thanksgiving Day, I give thanks, like I do everyday! I say thank you that I get to see another day, I say thank you for my health, (go away pinched nerve), I say thank you for my little Riley by my side, I say thank you that I get to enjoy Thanksgiving this year with family, I say thank you for hot coffee every morning, I say thank you for my physical home. These I believe are blessings.

Of course most importantly, I say thank you for my faith and the home God has built inside of me.

My faith has built a foundation in me that is deeply rooted, so much stronger, so much more committed, more secure and much more centered and because of this, I say thank you, God.

Oh, we don’t know what the day may bring, but for me, I will always start it from a place of gratitude.

On this Monday morning, I pray for you, my family, our country and for myself.

Oh my, It’s time to take the lemon tree out, the sun is just about to come out!

I hope for you a day of love!

Blessings from our home to yours.

Co-pilot, Riley
the Scottie
