On a Winter’s Night

On A Winter’s Night

Oh, I just love to feel the winter season.
I believe it’s so much better to engage all the seasons. (Now before you go thinking, get real girl, you live in Texas) I say, hey; we get cold here. We even got a little snow today! Truth be told, I didn’t get much around here and I so wanted to build a snowgirl … ⛄️ well maybe next year!
But I digress.
It’s a beautiful Winter’s night.
I accept winter …… all of it and simply accept that it’s different than summer That means getting outside, feeling the cold, and drinking up as much of the weak sunlight as I can. Riley seems to enjoy our morning and afternoon walks and yep even today when I sorta kinda had second thoughts …… and then I looked into his sweet eyes telling me to just put on a second layer. So yeah, I enjoy our walks and then, I really enjoy going inside and getting cozy again.
❄️❄️
There is something magical about seeing nature through the seasons. Oh the trees, they are still alive. I don’t see just bare branches, nope, I see their true self. They are getting ready for Spring.
Oh Winter, you are the gateway to a new chapter.
Winter allows me to be reflective. It’s the best time to take long hot baths, drink yummy hot tea, ahem (and many other winter drinks)! Cozy fires, comfort food and naps are just some of the things that means Winter to me.
And I embrace them all!
Winter renews me. It allows me to get fully empowered and fully energized. So yeah, for me, I know where I need to be and sometimes just being still looking into the fire is all I need. While many are burned out, tired and fatigued …… I know I will stand courageous and not fit into the ‘status quo’. (Ever)
On a Winter’s Night!
❄️❄️
Blessings from our home to yours.
