Saturday in January!
Wow, we woke up to a cloudy chilly morning and let’s just say I stayed in my nightie a smidge longer!
Why yes coffee, pancakes and music sorta woke me up but then I decided we better get out there for our walk. Yep, that did it!
There is actually a little sunshine and blue skies peaking out but no matter, it’s definitely a beautiful winter day.
Whew, I believe we will miss the snow storm hitting many areas. Like I said before; retired or not – I’d rather not see any of that white stuff unless I am watching it on TV (and we might see it tomorrow during some of the games) or we are tucked away in a log cabin in front of roaring fire. (With a chef cooking all our meals) TeeHee!
But really, home is where I am the happiest. We get to enjoy some cold weather the Texan way!
Sorry Panhandler, but then again you are use to it.
I grew up in the midwest, had relatives in Montana and sure we spent many winter days snowmobiling and playing in the snow.
I’m good!
I remember when my mom first moved south to Florida. Winter and especially Christmas was a little hard for her without some snow but she got into the southern lifestyle fairly quickly.
And I must admit, flip flops, shorts and a tank top are still my favorite things to wear.
Hey, this girl can dress up …… but why, Ha!
Of course tomorrow we will be wearing our Cowboys blue.
I am excited to watch some football. Big game for the Boys and many other teams. It’s a bit nerve wracking, for sure.
But this day is full of love, joy and peace.
Oh Saturday in January – you are my friend!
