Sit With It, Saturday!
And what a perfect day for it.
Soft rain as we sit out on the patio, coffee in hand and Riley laying nearby. Hey, he even knows what it means to Sit With It.
The squirrels running across the fence top getting all wet while he just watches. His normal instinct is to run and chase them but not today. As he watches them he is willing to Sit With It, Saturday!
And for me, listening to the gentle rain coming down and savoring each sip.
(except for a moment I had get up to inspect something in the grass) all good and back to;
Sit With It Saturday.
(It takes practice!)

Today is definitely a day for soothing my soul.
Hey, we all have hours, days, weekends when we know what needs to get done or in this case ‘not done’.
No, I will not be going back to bed or spending the day curled up on the sofa (although perfect examples), we all have certain things that soothe our souls. Do those!
For me, self-love and peace are fundamental to living my story.
I know that God is not done with me and deserves all the respect and love that His faithfulness has graced me with.
I will not think about yesterday or tomorrow.
Learning, healing, growing all at once – whoa, it’s about to get magical in here!
Of course having a little Scotty dog with me to share the weekend with is so so special.

And even in retirement, most of us have things to do, places to go and sometimes that just creates anxiousness.
Life can be harsh and unpredictable. Kinda like a baby bird being thrown out of their nest by a storm. And as I sit and watch the rain, I am reminded that our lives and our nests (homes) could be changed in an instant.
Which leads me to, Let It Go, Saturday.
Today is all about the open space of Now.
Sorta like the bird that must fly into the open space above. And don’t we all want to fly out of the nest and not be throw out.
And today is that day.
I am open to whatever this open space has for me.
That is where true freedom is found.

Sit in stillness. (Be willing to change before taking action.)
Connect with your pet by touch.
Tune in to your body.
Write, journal, listen to music.
It’s quite an awakening when you let things be as they are and stop fighting it.
So as I take flight today with Riley as my ever present co-pilot to our open space I know that we will return to our nest to recharge and refuel and
Sit With It, Saturday.
Namasté.
