Summertime In Texas

It’s Summertime in Texas, y’all!
It’s summertime in Texas and it’s a gorgeous day.

There is really no place I would rather be. My love and everlasting peace is here in Texas.
Oh yeah, this girl originally from Iowa …… shhhhhh (wink wink),
has made Texas her home for …… well, lets just say, more years than any other place and is firmly rooted here.
Texas has the perfect touch, for me.
Texas has always made me feel ‘alive’. Of course life has highs and lows and yet I feel all the love Texas has to give. You know how it goes; ride the highs, feel the lows, because that means you are ‘alive’!
My faith was reborn here! I was reborn here.
Saturday Sunshine!
Watch out, you might start feeling it too …… oh I hope you do!
Listen to the sounds of summer, feel the warm sunshine (before it gets blistering hot later) eek, dance to the music y’all and count your blessings.

The value of my faith cannot be disputed. Unfortunately no-one is immune to crisis and yet I will not lose faith. The cost is simply way too high to sacrifice all the benefits of my faith over a temporary crisis that is occurring now.
Have I always had this much patience …… oh, I believe it’s always been inside of me (and you)  waiting ……
Waiting I believe transforms our character. Waiting has a tendency to rub off some of our ‘rough’ edges. Waiting is humbling. Waiting is finally ‘getting it’!
Selfishness prevents you from giving of yourself …… self-care enables it.
Self-care involves setting boundaries so you don’t expend all of your personal energy taking care of everyone but yourself.
When crisis happens, our focus shifts, and what matters shifts. What is weak breaks under new pressure, what is strong holds, and what was hidden emerges. We see that change is not only possible, we are swept away by it and our priorities shift.  Even our definition of “we” might change as we are separated from friends and family yet sharing this new reality with strangers.
In the aftermath of disaster, a change of consciousness and priorities are powerful forces.
Hope offers us clarity that, amid the uncertainty ahead, there will be conflicts worth joining and the possibility of winning some of them.
Stay strong, stay the course. Be the light.
I know that at times it feels that our attention has been seized but the present moment is filled with so much joy and beauty …… if you are attentive to it.
Stay strong, stay the course and spread your sunshine!
Taking care of yourself (self-care) builds strength, oh I feel it!
It’s Saturday Sunshine, y’all!
Blessings from our home to yours.
