Sunny Side Up

Good morning y’all.

Oh yay, another Sunny Side Up Saturday, all day long!

When I wake up and see beauty all around, there is an overwhelming rush of warmth covered in a coolness that awakens my soul and there just are not enough words to describe it …… except Whoa and Thank you!

The Lord loads me up with daily benefits and blessings and provides that overwhelming feeling of peace to my heart and soul.

(This is the day the Lord has made, we will rejoice and be glad in it’, Psalms 118:24)

So yeah, let’s wake up with love and joy in our hearts. There is no better way to start each day, than by thanking the One who makes it all possible.

This is my daily wake up call, before my feet even touch the floor!

Happiness is our right. Joy comes from it.

You know that I believe that happiness is a choice: a choice based not on the conditions we pursue but on the thoughts and attitudes we cultivate.

My day always starts with prayer. And my prayers are of gratitude and not of a ‘gimme’ State Of Mind. You know the genuine appreciation for all the good that God is infinitely pouring forth in my life. For me, this shift in my viewpoint occurs in consciousness first – but it is always then found in experience.

For many, happiness is dangling out there in many subtle and sometimes blatant ways during the course of our everyday lives. It’s often presented as something that awaits us, and often involves acquiring one product or another to complete the prospect. Very rarely is the case made that we already have it. But we do!

Many will argue that sustainable happiness is over-emphasizing the happiness that comes with following Christ and will actually be disillusioning when trials hit. I believe He offers more than just happiness.

Of course we will all face hard situations in life. Our world is wracked by sin and there’s no way to get around that or to shield ourselves from trials and pain. Even Jesus does not magically take away all our trials, tears, and unhappiness.

But He does provide us with what we need to grow and what we need to increase our faith and draw closer to Him, which is what truly brings real and lasting happiness.

It’s Sunny Side Up Saturday, y’all!

The Kentucky Derby, the day before Cinco de Mayo, The Dallas Stars won last night …… oh the list just goes on and on and on!

We hope that you make it a Sunny Side Up Day wherever you are.

Blessings from our home to yours.
