You know how I love to give thanks for ……

Everything.

Even though the calendar tells us that the first day of summer is a week away, we are already enjoying warm …… no wait …… I mean hot days here in Texas, And I am so thankful for the beauty that is right outside my door!

And one of those ….. that little furry bundle of joy, Riley. 🐾🐾

We are so blessed to have morning shade out back where Riley can maintain his squirrel reconnaissance post.

He will only retreat as the temps start to rise and I believe the squirrels have called a truce!

It’s Thankful Thursday y’all!

I have blue skies, sunshine, the love of family and friends and the beauty of nature all around. I will never stop counting my blessings and being thankful.

Never.

Each day brings small or even big things to our lives that are blessings.

Oh yeah, sometimes I may miss the little things that are right in front of me …… and then I remember that old saying, ‘stop and smell the roses’, (eek, I am showing just how old I am, HA!) I love it!

It is truly a matter of perception. There is beauty all around us, all the time.

It’s a matter of perception.

It is sometimes easier for many to see the negative first. Hey, I need a little nudge from time to time too, however, I truly desire to make life more enjoyable and richer by daily mindfulness and gratitude.

Pretty soon it becomes habit …… how sweet is that!

And if you need a little nudge, then start by making Thursday the day you start and end  by giving thanks and being grateful. Make it Thankful Thursday!

Hey, we all can get in a little funk and may not even realize it. We smile, remain friendly to others yet we feel nothing is going right.

I mean, c’mon …… the world has its problems for sure. You can’t just walk around ignoring tough decisions or challenges.

But what we can do is train ourselves to look for the beauty and good in the things that we have all around us …… and be thankful.

As water reflects your face, one’s life reflects the heart.(Proverbs 27:19)

You heard me say it before …… I could be a little younger, have a little less gray hair, wear a different size ……

I find peace and love in knowing that no matter what storms may come, it’s all going to turn out all right.

The garden out back is awesome and makes me smile, no matter what is in it!

Plus I have another Thankful Thursday to experience,

thank you God!
