It is week one of the new year! And it is Thankful Tuesday …… What could be better!
So a little prayer I like to say at the beginning of the new year,
Dear Past, thanks for all the lessons.
Dear Future, I am ready.
I hope you have already started your 2016 ‘To-Do’ lists and have some new goals …..
Hey, do not worry about setting goals for the whole year …… (it may drive you nuts), now don’t get me wrong, if you have some long-term goals you want to achieve by the end of the year, be sure to include them.
But I like to list short-term goals ……. and no it is not the lazy way ….. it works! One way to think about it ………
Let’s say you want to lose 20 pounds by the end of the year then you can list your short-term goal of 5 pounds for each quarter. (5 pounds every 3 months)
Some of you who may see the glass as half empty might just be saying …….. really ……. what is the difference……. the final objective is the same …… and that is so true, but by creating short-term goals, the end goal is something you know you can actually accomplish, it’s attainable! (Goals need to be realistic)
It works! The whole idea of creating goals is to improve and fulfill your life. List your goal with a specific date that you want it completed by. List the steps you are going to take to achieve the goal and then get up, get moving and set your soul on fire!

Today is truly a blessing. Smile, be kind, be thankful …… it will set your soul on fire!
