Thursday Moments

Thursday Moments

Come over, have a seat and let’s enjoy morning coffee, tea, whatever you want. Is it mimosa time?

Enjoy the beauty all around us. Breathe in all the nature and music, let’s soak it in.

Yep, I always start my day with God, I pray with God and of course dance with God.

And David danced before the Lord with all his might, wearing a priestly garment,(2 Samuel 6:14).

Of course I hear the noise of people and of this world. So how do I keep my hope anchored on the truth when the world shouts louder than God’s gentle whisper?

I read God’s word.

Don’t be misled, my dear brothers and sisters. Whatever is good and perfect is a gift coming down to us from God our Father, who created all the lights in the heavens. He never changes or casts a shifting shadow (James 1:16–1).

I pray; about everything, always always.

Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise … then the God of peace will be with you (Philippians 4:19, 20b).

I get to choose what I read, listen to, and watch. And yes, I want to carefully choose what I think about.  Why surround myself with a constant feeding of negative thoughts and people. No gossip allowed here.

Gossip is anything that is said about someone that isn’t loving and kind. Would you say it directly to the person who you are talking about, if no, then you are gossiping.

People gossip because of

Pride

Envy

Insecurity

Resentment

Is it true, is it necessary, is it kind …… if not …… keep your mouth shut.

I once told a friend when she was caught up in gossip, first …… step away. And to remember, ‘that only insecure people speak badly about others as an underhanded way to praise themselves’. And people who are intimidated by you, talk bad about you in hopes that others won’t find you so appealing.

You decide who gets a seat at your table. Yep, remember someone’s effort is a reflection of their interest in you.

I am not what happened to me, I am what I choose to become. A daughter of God.

I am on a journey of faith. I want to live my life in the light. Love and kindness are the keys to walking in the light. Oh it’s not my truth; it’s the truth in knowing and experiencing the power of His transforming love.

My light is not dependent on someone else’s reaction to me, it’s only dependent of the grace of God.

Oh my, it’s time for a second cup, let’s enjoy this glorious day together!

Blessings from our home to yours.
