Tidy Tuesday Series

Oh my, it’s Tidy Tuesday y’all,

all day long!!

Tidiness means so much. So listen up …… or just continue reading ……Ha!

First things first, you gotta tidy up your mind ……

Yep, it’s kinda like getting rid of ‘stuff’ that does not spark joy except it starts in our mind and then resonates to your soul.

See Good In All Things

He awakens me morning by morning (Isiah 50:4)

It’s a new day, we get to make it positive and love-filled. You know, that even the smallest negative thought is like poison to your well-being. Focus on the positive, clean up those thoughts. Here, you can borrow my broom!

And if you are stuck with how to start your tidiness routine, here are some easy tips; trust me, you will be so happy you started …… Tidiness is not a goal, it’s a lifestyle, booyah!

Now turn up the music, yep you heard me …… as loud as you can!

Start small ……

  1. If you have not made your bed, do it stat!
  2. Put on something comfy.
  3. Put away all the laundry, the floor and bed are not a storage place.
  4. Clean up all toiletry items, clean and refresh bathroom countertops etc.
  5. Add fresh towels.

Oh my, look around, take a deep breath, sooooo nice.

It’s really that simple, now make some modifications and repeat for the bedroom, living room and kitchen!  Okay, once in a while I stop to have a little dance time with Riley. (I think he would rather just watch, Ha!)

Now if you are thinking that you just don’t have the time to get all your rooms tidy in a day, remember, take baby steps. Tackle one room at a time. The objective is change the way you think about it, it will become your lifestyle and second nature.

Phase 2 for a tidy and happy home is to de-clutter.

If you think that getting rid of ‘stuff’ is hopeless, remember these simple tips ……

  • Don’t worry about what to get rid of, think of what you want to keep, does it bring joy and happiness?
  • Old treasures and mementos are hard to part with, are they making you happy or are they just taking up space?
  • Is it time for a reset?
  • Donate; there are many people who need a helping hand. You can be thankful for the joy the piece gave you and Pay the Joy Forward!
  • Visualize a clutter-free life!

I never look for a beautiful place, I make a beautiful place …… it’s called home.

Oh sure, my mind gets cluttered at times …… it’s called life.

Then I pull out my broom ……

Yep, I love decorating for the seasons …… so that is why tidiness is so important. I look at the change of seasons as new beginings!

Trust the Magic. Design the life you love.

Stop by next week for more Tidy Tuesday tips.

Oh yeah, I gotta go ….

time to sweep my front porch and back patio. These are two of the most important areas of the home. Well I think so anyway.  They both bring so much Joy.

Coming home …… nothing like it and back yard conversations …… well they are the best!

Happy Tidy Tuesday, y’all.

Blessings and love from me and Riley.

Namasté

Co-pilot,
Riley the Scottie
