It’s Tidy Tuesday y’all ……

Oh yeah, even on a rainy Tuesday

we are getting a whole lotta rain today ……

 If you gotta be out in it, be safe. Take your time. We made a quick trip to the airport and came back and started the day with a hearty breakfast …… ahhhh

Remember, it’s Tidy Tuesday, yep even on a rainy day!

Rainy days can be the best time to get to Tidiness …… you heard me.

If you still need convincing, keep trying …… you will love how it makes you feel!

I am working on one of the spare closets. Started by taking everything out, yep …… everything. Next, go thru it all …… do I  need it, have I used it, worn it, displayed it. It’s scary and so enlightening. Scary because I am hanging on to things, scary when you think about ‘hoarder’ disease. It makes me chuckle and also want to repent.

Last week I donated several larger household items, what a nice feeling it gave me. So this week, it’s mainly clothing and small decor items. You heard me say it before …… I love being able to give things that might bring joy to someone who is looking for a little help.

A couple of other things to do on this rainy day ……

• Check/replace air filters
• Sweep out the garage
• Clean out utility room, wipe down appliances and organize cleaning supplies

Take time today to do some Tidiness, start small if you need to, but start. Summer is officially over and Fall activities have started. Everything you do to get your home ready will make things run more smoothly as you organize the things in your life.

So yep, after a day of organizing and cleaning it makes me want to prop my feet up, smile and give thanks. And maybe a little wine to end the day.
