Toast-It, Tuesday

Oh Tuesday, let’s toast!

God has made it possible for me to know Him and experience an amazing change in my life. His love awakens me and fills me with so much joy and peace.

Happiness is such a personal matter to me. Many times just the mention of the word will strike up a conversation or debate ……

The world and maybe even some people you know will try to say that having material things, good looks, being skinny, having fame or power is the way to experience true happiness ……

Yikes ……

The Bible says just the opposite.

Yes, I wake up each day with gratitude and love for the roof over my head, the food to prepare for my meals and my good health just to name a few ……

yet,

I also know that I want to honor Him with contentment and happiness.  I want to enjoy the pleasures of daily life. The ‘me-centered’ person has a hard time grasping the happiness of life. They are too busy pointing out problems or complaining, you know sorta like ‘tunnel vision’.  People who are ungrateful rarely find true happiness and pleasures in daily life.

I believe that one must learn to love the blessings you already have. Those blessings may or may not be material possessions or good looks. Take some time to consider your blessings. I do, each and every day!

For me, putting God in the center of my life brings me happiness. I make a decision each day to focus spiritually and put God in the center of my activities and decisions.

  • Walk humbly-  Act Justly, Love Mercy, Walk Humbly. (Micah 6:8)
  • Live a God-controlled life –  If you want to be my follower,  turn from your selfish ways, take up your cross daily and follow Me. (Luke 9:23)
  • Seek peace –  For some it’s easy to gossip and slander. Words can wound. I believe God holds us accountable for hateful words that wound and stir up trouble.  If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. (Romans 12:18)
  • See the positives –  Happiness is a choice. Oh, everything will not always go the way I want in life, but I know ultimately I have victory in Christ. I told you these things, so that in me you will have peace. In this world you will have trouble, but take heart, I have overcome the world. (John 16:33)

Now grab your umbrella, we are in for a wet bumpy ride outside today,

but step inside ……

the music is playing and you can feel our happiness all day long!

Blessings from our home to yours.
