Wednesday Wisdom

As we continue to live in anxious times, I know that it can be hard to find the calm. And when we hear ‘Let the peace of Christ rule in your heart’ it can be difficult when we are filled with worry and anxiety.
Finding peace isn’t easy.
I mean, c’mon ……. it only takes a simple glance at the world news or maybe a mounting ‘To-do’ list for our heart to become overwhelm with anxiety. There are many ways our soul can get lured in; like wanting possessions, personality traits or positions that we don’t have.  And heck, even a quick encounter or exchange with a difficult person can quickly stress you out and leave you feeling unbalanced.
Which is why I know the Lord will ease my stress.

Jesus can dissipate all stress and anxiety.
This peace doesn’t focus on the absence of trouble. It is unrelated to our circumstances; it is a goodness of life that is not touched by what happens on the outside.
I do believe when we accept Jesus’ plan, all fear, anxiety and stress can dissipate. We begin to tune out the chaos around us.
It’s the only way to live, for sure.

I know there is power in prayer. To change not only the situation that is being prayed about or for, but also to change the one that is praying.
When I pray to God, I am seeking peace. And guess what …… I know God is in my heart when peace is present.
And the beautiful part is that when God heals and restores; our lives are transformed. Oh yes, I trust in His power.
He is the stronghold of my life.
Blessings from our home to yours.

Dear God, You know my heart. I pray you quiet my soul and bring calm to the chaos, making You the center of my life. Amen
