Good morning y’all!

No matter how cold it gets, there is always this furry little bundle of joy wagging his tail at me every morning ….. and sometimes a few little grrrrrr’s if I am moving a little too slow ……

I tried to put Riley’s sweater on the past couple of mornings but he was not having it. Of course I have let his hair grow out so I think he probably feels like he is already wearing a fur coat …. so I have figured out his cold tolerance!

It seems only the rain stops his desire to go for walks so when it’s really really cold as it has been this week, we have taken shorter walks. But because it is cold outside, I have been making time while indoors to play games with him ….. sometimes I think he would play tag and hide and seek for hours …… god I wish I had all that energy ….. Ha!

This past weekend we went to a dog park. I just love it ….. Riley runs around, plays with other dogs and gets plenty of exercise!

So yeah we had fun, got some exercise, met new friends…… life is good!

Yes, my little Riley is pretty special! You have heard me say it before and I will say it again and again and again ……. ‘Whoever said that diamonds are a girls best friend …. never owned a dog.’

And yes, all  the petting, scratching and of course the cuddling is one of the best ways to spend a chilly night indoors.

So before you go to bed …. kiss your dog good night …. of course kiss your spouse, partner, kids, boyfriend/girlfriend ….. but always kiss and tell your dog good night! (Oh yes, talk to your dog, he may not understand all your words but he understands your voice when you speak to him)

So as the saying goes …. In a perfect world, every dog would have a home and every home would have a dog! Woof Woof.
