🐾🐾 Woof Woof, It’s Wednesday 🐾🐾

Another mighty chilly day, but Riley runs outside like it’s no big deal …… well, he does have a permanent fur coat, oh so cuddly!

It’s a Pawfect day, for sure …… sun shining and lots of squirrels to chase.

Yep, he got pretty close to one the other day …… but those little suckers are just to fast for my little Riley. Oh, but he will not give up, ever!

He is perfect!

As the Fall weather is here and Winter is just around the corner, here are a few weather and holiday tips to keep our furry family members safe ……

• Be sure your car is not leaking anti-freeze and you store it away from pets reach/tongues.
• Do not leave them outside for long periods of time, (I have to force Riley back in sometimes because he just loves being outside) but it does not have to be Winter for it to be too cold, especially for puppies or senior dogs.
• Beware of ticks. Those pesky things love to hide in leave piles. Consider a flea and tick program. There are many options.
• Let them be furry! (I have to admit, I love it when Riley gets his hair trimmed, but he needs his fur especially at this time of year) Hey, we wear coats and gloves to stay warm, they need their fur to stay warm too.
• Guests for the holidays: Riley has approved our guest list, teehee …… but seriously, be sure your guest are aware of your furry family members.
• Be sure to include them in some of the activities, they have feelings too and want to be part of family fun time. A walk around the neighborhood after a feast is good for all!
• If you must leave your furry family members with a pet-sitter, doggie day-care or with family/friends, make arrangements as soon as possible.
• Be careful with treats, etc. I will share next week, the do and don’t list for Thanksgiving Day.
• You know the triggers for your love ones; does he bolt every time the front door is opened, does he need time to warm-up to people, does he not like to be held, etc., be mindful and plan accordingly.
• Most of all, have fun, spread love and joy to them, they are family members too!
