Wake up y’all, its World Animal Day!
I woke up with my little co-pilot, Riley the Scottie bumping the side of my bed. He seemed a little more excited this morning than usual….how does he know? It’s as if he was saying to me, that’s enough sleeping in…..It’s World Animal Day and I had this dream where you said you would make it a Pawsonal Day!
Today the world will celebrate animal life in all its form. Show your humanity, warm your soul. Here are some ideas Riley wanted me to share with all you fellow soul pilot dog owners;
- Take a road trip.
- Visit a dog park.
- Visit a dog-friendly cafe. Sit under a shade tree for an hour.
- Go for a run, a hike, a walk.
- If you live by a dog-beach, watch him frolic in the sand and water.
- Teach your dog a new trick.
- Offer to dog sit for a friend.
- Visit a shelter/adopt a pet.
- Give your dog a bubble bath, (Half Time – Bath Time)
- Brush his teeth.
- Take a nap with your dog. (Riley really likes this one)
Diamonds are a girls best friend…..No Way….Get a Dog!
When I look into the eyes of my Riley, I do not see an animal. I see a living being, I see a friend, I see a protector but mostly I feel his Soul!
Best friends come in all shapes and sizes. Touch the soul of your favorite animal today.
Riley is my guardian angel……with fur! Hug your angel today, Kiss your angel today. Make it a great World Animal Day and warm your soul.
And I can’t leave without saying, Be a Responsible Dog Owner. Whether you are at the dog park or in your neighborhood, always always pick up after your dog.
